The Missions Team has designated five focuses for our giving in 2024.

Upcoming Events
Our next planned event is a baked potato/chili sale on May 19 to benefit Rise Against Hunger. Giant chef baked potatoes with a variety of toppings and pints of homemade chili will be offered for $8 each or a combo of both for $15. Advance orders and payments are required.
Palmyra First UMC will host a meal packing event for Rise Against Hunger on Saturday, November 9. Many volunteers will be needed to pack 15,000 meals in less than three hours. These meals will be distributed worldwide as needed.

On June 1 we will share in a half day (morning) “Mission Trip” to the United Methodist Mission Hub located in the Immanual UMC in Cleona. We will help pack hygiene kits (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, nail clippers, etc) that will be distributed through the United Methodist Church Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to emergency sites around the world. Volunteers are needed. Items for the kits will be collected in advance.
